In 2004 I came back from my second trip round the world to find that I had been accepted for a Fellowship in Live Art in residence at the Cable Factory in Helsinki, Finland. I had always wanted to visit Finland and I was delighted to take up this opportunity. During two months, as winter and snow crept over the city, I worked on many projects with special dedication. That’s what residencies are for, after all, - no distractions. This was when I first got into photo-collaborations, and the best of them, with Tanya Kopponen, are still some of my signature images.
